We integrate measures such as audio description, LIBRAS/ASL interpretation, and adapted sessions for neurodiverse audiences, especially those on the autism spectrum. We are also committed to multilingual seasons, with performances in English, Portuguese, and Spanish to reach broader communities.

OUR HISTORY
Founded in 2025 by Artistic Director Viviane Falkembach, ENTRE/VIAS Performing Arts is a performing arts center and repertory company dedicated to uniting theater and dance through gesture and silence.
The vision for the company dates back to 2023, when Falkembach made her first artistic visit to New York City. Deeply influenced by George Balanchine’s model of pairing a repertory company with a training school, she envisioned adapting this structure to merge theater and dance — a model not yet established in Brazil.
Later that year, the academic premiere of ENTRE/VIAS — now the company’s signature repertory piece — was presented as a work-in-progress in Rio de Janeiro, marking the first step in its journey. Since then, ENTRE/VIAS has grown into both a performing company and a training center, with community actions that connect artistic creation, education, and employability.
From its foundation, ENTRE/VIAS has combined Brazilian creativity with international dialogue, building partnerships with artists in New York and envisioning long-term bridges across cultures.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM
Each year, our Educational Program selects 20 emerging actors and dancers — still in training and not yet active in the professional market — and offers them specialized formation within a real production environment. Participants receive scholarships, professional mentoring, and the unique opportunity to perform in ENTRE/VIAS.
Over an 8-month cycle, the program directly and indirectly employs around 27 professionals, reaffirming our commitment to sustainability and dignity in the performing arts.
Our Teaching Philosophy combines classical ballet, physical theater, and dramaturgy of movement, rooted in diversity and belonging. By uniting training with artistic practice, we prepare a new generation of artists for lasting, meaningful careers.
OUR REPERTORY
ENTRE/VIAS
ENTRE/VIAS is the signature repertory piece of ENTRE/VIAS Performing Arts.
The movement and dance-theater piece created in 2023 as a stage adaptation of the award-winning short film Between Stops by NYC-based filmmaker Jordan Rubio, envisioned by Founder and Artistic Director Viviane Falkembach as part of her artistic and international trajectory.
The piece stages the encounter of two women from different generations in a metropolis. Amidst the crowd and the scarcity of time, they meet again in a subway station after years apart.
Between the platform and the train car, they have only ten seconds — a single word, and a fleeting moment to transform.

MEET THE TWO VERSIONS OF THE WORK:
ENTRE/VIAS / Full Production
(2026 Premiere, Brazil)
This large-scale repertory version will bring together professional artists and an expanded corps de actors and dancers formed by apprentices from our educational program, reaffirming our mission to unite creation, training, and employment.
ENTRE/VIAS / Intimate Version:
Presented in a chamber format for two actresses, this was the first developed version of ENTRE/VIAS. It forms the core of the dramaturgy that later expanded into the full-scale production. Maintaining the same essence, the intimate staging amplifies silence, proximity, and emotional tension — creating a unique dialogue between performers and audience in smaller spaces.
Since its first presentation in 2023, and with the focus on developing the full production, this version has only been performed once. In 2026, we are seeking residency partners to revisit and further investigate it — exploring the pathways that will lead to the large-scale premiere. By doing so, we aim to materialize the bridges envisioned from the very beginning and bring the piece to the city where it first started, and where Jordan Rubio’s short film Between Stops is set: New York City.
